Gita Teachers' Guild
The Gita Teachers' Guild is the Professional Association of all Gita trained teachers. Only teachers who have completed the Gita Gold Diploma Teacher Training Course may join the Guild. The Guild is a support network for teachers, providing nurturing and ongoing training via Post Graduate Courses. It provides a forum for discussion on topics of interest, teacher’s concerns and aspects of health or students’ problems, as well as networking for classes and locums. The Guild also provides access to Insurance at very competitive rates, references and advice and support for teachers in the field. The Guild is the teacher’s spiritual family, which we draw upon for support and nurturing. It is a fantastic network which spans the globe.
The Guild also provides ongoing learning for Gita teachers in the form of major Post Graduate Courses (e.g. Teaching Progressive Yoga Relaxation, Counselling, Pre-Natal) and Workshops.
Guild members are also regularly updated with DVDs of the Teacher Training Course segments, articles and research applicable to yoga teaching.
There are 3-4 Guild meetings per year that coincide with the start of school terms and which include the Teachers’ Communion that sets the scene for the energies ahead.

What motivated your choice and major commitment to become a Gita qualified teacher?
First of all, I never thought in a million years that I would become a Gita qualified teacher and decide to teach. It’s amazing how people change! Today there is nothing more I want to do, for the following reasons: The world needs it. (that is what brought me to Gita in the first place) Teaching Yoga and all the Esoteric learnings / Wisdom's that come with it, is very fulfilling to say the least and being able to share this Universal Knowledge with people (to teach, to inspire, to show the way) to make the world a nicer place. Teaching formally on a podium (on a personal level) allows me to be ME and to be able to share that with people (love, wisdom, power) to operate at SOUL LEVEL is amazing. This will hopefully inspire others to do the same.

I have come to realise that in order to help others, we must first help ourselves, work on ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally in order to find our own truths to share with others.
The choice to teach does not limit the learning to the 'yoga studio' or'class room' but in the way we live and carry ourselves.
Meditation is a very popular tool these days, for stress reduction and health issues, as well as those wishing to develop their inner spirituality more.
As its popularity rises students expect their Teachers to be proficient in teaching techniques and answering the myriad of complex questions which arise from the practice of meditation.
Our aim with this high level, intensive Course is to equip you with the basic skills to deal with this demand and to deepen your own understanding in the process.
Spread over 6 Saturdays and Sundays between October 2008 and May 2009 it gives time for practice and reflection as well as insights into the complexities of the psyche.
Join us for this special, deepening journey. This Course is available to all Gita Teachers and to all Teachers recognised by the YTAA.
